Intensive Courses

We offer a wide range of intensive programmes. These vary from one to forty weeks in length with morning, afternoon or full day sessions with a lunch break. Students can select for themselves the length of their course and the frequency of the lessons. The pace of all intensive programmes is geared to the response of each individual student. This ensures that the knowledge acquired throughout the course is put into practice and used confidently by the student.

Extensive Courses

Extensive courses are spread over a longer period, with one or two weekly tuition sessions. Each session usually lasts 1.5 or two hours and is followed up by self-study. Classes can take place any day of the week in the morning, afternoon or evening. The timetable is adapted to the student's requirements allowing maximum flexibility.

Refresher Intensives

Disused language skills, learned in the past take time to come back and this can be unnerving if you find yourself in the business environment wanting to express yourself clearly and pick up on information fast. A short, intensive or semi-intensive course is an excellent way to bring your language skills back into gear in a safe environment, ensuring you enter the business environment with confidence.

Technology Supported Learning

In response to changing demands of business in all sectors and the availability of new technologies, Rainbow now offers alternatives to their core one-to-one or group learning programmes.

When selecting one of these alternative learning routes, students can expect all the advantages of Rainbow’s experience in delivering high quality business language training combined with today’s technologies.

The following programmes can be used in place of or in combination with face to face language training:

Presentation Skills

These short courses, for those who already have good foreign languages skills, are purposely designed to prepare business people for presentations. Your tutor will work together with you to ensure that you have the correct vocabulary in place, that your style suits your material and that your delivery and pronunciation are clear. Where necessary you will also discuss any areas of cultural awareness, which might impact your performance.

Courtesy Language Packages

A fun approach to providing business people with an opportunity to improve their business relationships: showing goodwill in speaking at least a little of the languages of their international colleagues and clients.
These short courses allow you to select two or more languages in which you would like to be able to exchange simple greetings, give short welcome addresses or words of thanks for hospitality, together with phrases that express your appreciation of food or drink or of the country you visit.

Cultural Briefings

Cultural awareness is an important part of all Rainbow’s business language training, made possible by the fact that all our trainers are native speakers. For those who wish to give extra focus to this aspect of their training, additional briefings can be extremely useful, especially where staff are preparing to live abroad. Cultural Briefings can also be useful in enhancing business relationships even where the language itself is not being learned and can be arranged both on a one-to-one basis and for groups.
